If you happen to be in the South of France at the end of February, don't miss out on the new cyclosportive "L'Etape du Haute Var". As you may have guessed from the name, it's on the route of the pro race which is one of the season openers in France. If "Frejus", "Draguignan", "La Croix Valmer" and - yes - "Saint Tropez" ring a bell, you know what I'm talking about. I've been in the region at that time of the year. It's a bliss. Hills shelter from the Mistral and you can enjoy your first early season rides in the late winter sun.
